When you are using the HAKKO HMI on the HAKKO FR-1418 BGA Rework System and start the Camera View, you may find that the camera image shown on the screen is all black. This can happen as a result of the aperture on the lens assembly is completely closed and no light is being let into the camera.

To resolve this issue, rotate the adjustment ring on the lens assembly that is closest to the camera clockwise until you feel the detent, or click-stop on the aperture. Doing so will adjust the aperture setting and allow more light to enter the camera for a clear picture and is the optimal setting by default.
