How to reset the calibration of the DPC Touch v2

Chris Stuber
Electric Torque Drivers

If the DPC Touch v2 controller stops responding, the issue may be that the screen calibration has been lost. In order to recalibrate the controller, please use the following steps below.

  1. Update the controller to the most current firmware
    1. Power OFF the controller and remove the SD card
    2. Create a folder in the root of the SD card named "update"
    3. Download the firmware file "DPCTouch_V2.02.2_20220829.bin" and copy it to the "update" folder
    4. Insert the SD card and power ON the controller
    5. Wait until the update progress shows 100% completed on the screen
    6. Power OFF the controller, remove the SD card, and delete the "update" folder
  2. Calibrate the screen
    1. Power OFF the controller and remove the SD card
    2. Create an empty text file named "cal.txt" in the root of the SD card
    3. Insert the SD card and power ON the controller
    4. The controller will automatically boot to the calibration screen
    5. When prompted, touch and hold the red dot on the screen with a finger or stylus
    6. Hold this until the counter on the screen counts up to at least 60 "ticks"
    7. Repeat the procedure for the second red dot shown in a different screen location
    8. The controller will now reboot normally
    9. Power OFF the controller, remove the SD card, and delete the "cal.txt" file
