When you attempt to set the temperature on the HAKKO FX-951 to 850°F, the station will not accept the value and continue to cycle through the temperature setting process. This is because the maximum allowed temperature for the FX-951 is 840°F / 450°C. You need to select a temperature that is within the operating range.
