The Hakko 472, 473, 472B, and 472D desoldering stations can all be operated with either the 807 (C1091) pencil style hand piece or the 817 (817-01) gun style hand piece.
To maintain accurate / optimal tip temperature it is recommended that you Adjust / verify the stations actual temperature whenever you change the heating element or hand piece.
