The 'T-E' error on a Hakko FM-203 is a very rare error. In the event that the FM-203 that is built for the 120VAC market is used overseas in a market that requires a power converter, AND the power converter is not supplying the proper clean voltage of at least 110VAC, there is a possibility that the FM-203 may not detect what tip and/or handpiece is connected to either of the two ports on the unit.
The problem can be resolved by using a proper power converter that provides clean and stable 120VAC power.
