The HAKKO FM-2022 Parallel Remover and HAKKO FM-2023 Mini Hot Tweezers are made of a material that cannot withstand exposure to very high levels of heat at the points where the tips are inserted into the handpieces. This material can fatigue over time at the point where the tip is inserted into the handpiece if the tip is operating at temperatures above 750°F (399°C).
For this reason, the handpieces have been marked to warn users not to exceed a set temperature of 750°F (399°C) when using either handpiece.
Doing so can result in damage and/or failure of the handpiece.
